As you can see, it is a very long room with a lot of doors and windows (front door, screen porch door, french doors to dining room, etc.). Previously, we had all the furniture on a diagonal and it left a lot of dead space behind the sofas. Our old coffee table is now in front of the large windows and it is holding our television. This arrangement works nicely but leaves us conspicuously without a coffee table.

I’ve looked everywhere (online and at local flea markets) and had settled on this storage ottoman but after having 6 different fabric samples sent to me I just wasn’t in love. It was great in theory but probably not very practical with our two monsters.

In walks the coffee table of my dreams…

This beauty is solid wood and 36″ round and it was a steal on Craigslist for $25. It’s a little rough around the edges but you can see from my initial design it’s exactly what we were looking for.

There are plans to paint it white and I will probably have a piece of glass cut to fit the top but The Hubs says no more projects until I complete some of the ones I already have going. He’s such a party pooper.
